Foam is one of the most commonly used products for insulating a home. Foam rather in liquid form or boards are an effective way in making a home energy efficient. Using foam to fill wall cavities and ceiling helps to decrease the amount of heat that escapes from the help heat from escaping through the attic, foam can be used to insulated under the roof rafters. Another way to cut down on heat escaping is to seal up the door to the attic stairs and the box in the stair case with foam boards.

In the UK, there is a program set where in which people who are seventy and over or those who get benefits may qualify for a grant that helps them to insulate the loft of their home.
