A recent joint study released by the National Association of Dwelling Builders (NAHB) and McGraw-Hill Construction has discovered that some 85% of home owners who at present own green residences are happier with their new homes than with their previous homes-and these green homeowners are eager to share their experiences with other folks. Though LCA is often perceived as overly complex and time consuming for typical use by design professionals, research organizations such as BRE in the UK and the Athena Sustainable Supplies Institute in North America are working to make it far more accessible.

Architects who style themselves as green, will have the typical degrees in architectural style and practise, and may have taken additional qualifications to demonstrate their green or environmental understanding.
